After saying good bye to Germany and it's fancy Christmas trees it was time to jump into France for some days, just to spend some time with my sweet girl and get some nice food too. First impressions included some headless people at the airport, eggs on the tomb of Simone and Jean-Paul and Broken Windows on the ticket machines of the Société Nationale Chemins de fer France . (And, fasten seat-belt before you visiting French websites. They are either leftovers from the last century or flash-powered entertainment monsters)
France, what should I say, a nice country. The temperature was about 10 degrees over zero, Which means fifteen degrees over Germany's temp, Which is great. The baguettes had been fresh, the only problem in France are those foreign speaking people. They might be nice, at least it seems like it, but speak - as far as I can say - no recognizable language. I felt a little bit like those early day world explorer (like Odysseus) Which arrive somewhere and try to see if the sound of the other people means something useful.
Between some visits to the International Success Institute and a somehow ok but not to recommend movie we went to the beach, had some galette de Rois (damned, did not got the crown). Shocking to see, that even French newspapers reported the Knut follow up Seemed like it was time to leave France.
Not without a great evening meal, for sure. Sweet crepes. And the name "North Pole" combine with a flag on the crepes Bretonian remembered me on the craziness of current times. Northern countries fight about the right to claim the Arctic as their territory, a new cold war has started . And nobody realized, that the Arctic was mine till I remember. So get off my fucking backyard with your weapons!
So much about it, thanks to A. for the nice time. Back to India, Which feels like back at home after a great holiday trip. Strange.

Time to write again, and time to write in English. Cause I'm in Germany, and people abroad should have a chance to see and understand what's going on here without google-translation. Too much happened since I'm arrived, so only the important things.
Most important, I had a nice breakfast cheese directly after arriving in Berlin. You might not know that India is really famous for it's cheese, and there are reasons for that. One of the main reason is that you can not get any cheese there, then had a breakfast worth the whole trip. There were other reasons too. For instance the cold and empty streets of Berlin, had nearly forgotten how quiet it is there in winter ... (and how cold, too)
After enjoying a great welcome table tennis bar in the evening my favorite ex-squat, I choosed to meet the santa claus, which is the German version of the santa claus and all at a really nice person. As far as I know ... and he usually drops by at the flat of my mother around the 24th, then stayed there for some days.
After Christmas back to Berlin, the Chaos Communication Congress invited all freaks for the yearly gathering. Went with the hack train there and visited interesting sessions for instance about gorilla knitting and things alike. You never what you have to expect at the cccongress know. There is only one constant there:
The legendary LEGO Sumo . Presented by the c-base mechatronic team, an ad-hoc mesh layer-8 Which forms usually at the congress to spread some LEGO bricks around and motivate young people and younger to play with it. On our rules, for sure. Which had been this year: Use what you like, but build a robot, Which has not more than 5 engines, 5 sensor, one controller and do not Exceeds the maximum weight of one LEGO reference book. Start your robot and do not touch it again, there are two robots on the black-bordered field.
Winning means staying on the filed longer than your opponent, easy, is not it? And really funny, seems like everybody enjoyed the competition. The winner, just to mention what Dumbo2.0, Which was not only famous for pushing every other robot (except one) from the field, but for introducing himself into the first round with unforgettable straight to jump over the border of the table to the ground (dividing himself into 42 pieces).
And, facing the new years day of 1984, most of the congress participants decided to take part in a demonstration against data retention , Which was established in 2007 for "security" reasons. Great, interesting new databases are built, Which are on target for fruitful state agencies, private corporations and terrorists too. Nice to know that they will remember who you have called, so if you loose your telephone book once, no problem anymore. Just ask (or google?) For a list of the calls you made last year ...
The congress ended without changing the whole world, but hopefully with a lot of people giving good energy for the next year. I used my energy (part of it) to go to a smaller village than place to enjoy the new years day with some friends in the nature, and this after visiting Rostock, the town I lived before I went to India. Only few days left before I leave to France, looking forward to see my girls place the first time.
